The Wheel of Fortune #tarot #tarotmixtapeplaylist

This card is about karma.  It's about good things happening and luck turning around.  This is a great card to have in a reading, but if you're a reader, it kind of sucks.   It can be ambiguous, and it's hard to get a clear direction.  I just say, "Everything is going to be ok.  I don't know what ok looks like right now, but it's going to be fine."  That's not exactly why people get tarot readings, but some things just have to work themselves out.  You have to go through the whole process to really learn the lesson, and we can't tell you cuz it's cheating.  I love getting this as a Final card because I get to look at the client and say, "Yeah, I don't know.  High five!"

It can also mean the exact opposite.  Things are going to suck for a while, and I don't know how badly, but everything will work out ok.  Your high five is less appropriate at this time.

Theresa Reed and Dan Pelletier chose songs for the Wheel of Fortune.

Theresa has become my unofficial mentor and has been a strident supporter of other tarot entrepreneurs (including me!).  I feel that she is changing the face of professional tarot readers.  She's also a badass.

Here is Theresa's take:

The Wheel of Fortune: Spinning Wheel - Blood, Sweat and Tears

Life has ups and downs.  Sometimes things go our way, sometimes not.  Everyone gets their turn at the wheel as fate does what it deems appropriate.  The Wheel of Fortune is about karma, life cycles and change.  How we roll with that is up to us.  Spinning Wheel is the perfect song to illustrate this card - right from the opening lines ("What goes up, must come down. Spinning wheel got to go round") this rocking song shows no pity for those who whine about life's bumps - and neither does the Wheel of Fortune.  -Theresa Reed

Dan Pelletier at www.tarotgarden.com is one of the most learned tarot scholars I've met.  Dan chose the following song for the Wheel of Fortune.

Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood

The lyrics capture the spirit of The Wheel - Dan P

I ain't happy but, I'm feeling glad
I got sunshine, in a bag
I'm useless, but not for long
The future is coming on
I am happy, I'm feeling glad
I got sunshine, in a bag
I'm useless, but not for long
The future is coming on
Is coming on
Is coming on
Is coming on

Thank you to Theresa Reed and Dan Pelletier for being my guest DJ's!
